Why become a volunteer?

Are you new to the Albury Wodonga region? Volunteering might be just the thing to help you find your way in the community. Do you want to acquire new skills that might enable you to find paid employment? Many people have found their new careers in the paid workforce through having gained experience as volunteers. Others have become volunteers because they want to use the skills they already have, for example, many retirees have skills and experience that make them invaluable to a community organisation. Others become volunteers because they want to meet people and make friends. Or perhaps you might simply want to give something to the community.
